Trump attends the White House Correspondents’ Dinner for the first time since 2015, 11 years ago. But April 2026 is the right time because he wants to “bring the country together”. Such a nice guy. Why did he really attend the dinner when it’s all “fake news”?

The timing and the grand stage for this ultimate “poor me” distraction couldn’t be more perfect and more needed: the Maga coalition is breaking down, the Epstein files keep surfacing, inflation is out of control and Iran standing tough.

Just convince a crazy person that he can kill the president and allow him to approach the dinner but without endangering Trump. Then, arrest him..

Would this be easy for the fascists, media manipulators to do? Yes! There are plenty of people that will believe about anything, lots of them are Trump voters. Think of suicide bombers who are easily convinced that their mission is righteous.

Or, maybe it was all for hire, just actors. For realism and drama, the would-be assassin shot a security officer in the vest.

What an opportunity for an impromptu pulpit for Trump and his minions – free Saturday night prime time. And, boy did Trump drag on and on repeating himself ad nauseum. Frankly I turned off the TV after about 5 minutes.

I hate to be a conspiracy theorist, and I am probably wrong, but this seems too obvious, too staged.

The gunman was caught in the magnetometer screening area outside the ballroom with guns and knives. Of course he came after everyone was seated. I bet he was easy to spot even without a magnetometer. Did he have a ticket or press badge? How dumb was he? Security did its job. There was no danger to anyone in the ballroom.

What’s the big deal? Its just another day in guns-are-America where an average of 110 shooting occur per day. Just take away the guns – duh. This failed attempt is low on the scale of actual carnage, merits no more than a footnote.

Why stop the Correspondents’ Dinner? – So Trump could get free face time and headlines. As Trump put it another attempt against a republican who was being an effective politician. (an effective at being a pile of shit) Fellow authoritarian, Hitler faced a bomb attempt too – poor Adolf. He was effective too.

If 2,600 people attended the Correspondents’ dinner, will Trump want to expand the East Wing ballroom?
